Hi, I’m Samiksha!
Thank you and welcome to my food blog, Yummy Tummy Recipes. I am a techie by profession but a foodie by heart. Through my food blog I want to share my passion for food.
My aim is to simplify the art of cooking. I truly believe that food can be scrumptious, healthy and easy to cook. And I would like to prove this through my recipes which are healthy, tasty and easy to make.
Sugar, spice and everything nice. Aren’t these ingredients needed to cook a perfect dish? 🙂 Well, I would add two more ingredients here and they are “Love” and “Passion”.
All the recipes you find here are made with tremendous love and passion for food. I hope my recipes simplify your cooking and also make your eating experience more healthy and joyful.
I am originally from India but I currently stay in the United States. I came here as a student. I, like many other students coming from abroad, initially struggled to adapt to the culture in USA. My major struggle was to counter the cravings I had for my mother’s food.
During my university days in USA, I would often miss having an Indian meal. I would literally call my mother for her guidance. It was sweet of her to stay with me on call and share her recipes, I would simultaneously take notes. What really intrigued me was that these recipes were so simple to make and they tasted delicious. Apart from being a techie I am a confident cook today and I credit my success to my mother.
My goal with Yummy Tummy Recipes is to simplify your cooking experiences. My effort is to transform cooking from being mundane and boring to being approachable and exciting. I really hope my recipes make you fall in love with cooking. All the ingredients I use in my recipes are simple healthy and easily accessible. The motto I follow most: Life’s too short. So make every meal a happy meal. 🙂
This blog has my personal recipe collection. All of the recipes here are tested and approved by my family and friends. I and my husband have done the photography, writing and editing. We are very soon planning to do recipe videos as well. My husband is a pro in photo editing and he is also the one designing the look and feel of this blog. I think he has done a great job. What do you think?
All of the recipes that I have listed here come from my Mummy, Aunt, Mother-in-law, family, and friends. I am so thankful to have such amazing people in my life who generously share their rich knowledge of cooking and culinary.
